The village of Caldes d’Estrac,
also known as Caldetes, is one of the smallest in the country.
Caldes d’Estrac is served by three major transport routes
– the N-II A-road, the C-32 motorway (old A-19) and the railway
line from Barcelona to Girona, by the coast.
The village is sheltered by the Litoral hills, that runs parallel
to the coast. This makes for a special climate, with year round
springs, mild winters and coal summers.
